Run Bizproez as Administrator in Windows Vista & Windows 7

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

If you log on to Windows Vista or Windows 7 as an administrator it does not mean you can run your applications as and administrator (ok – this makes sense?). BizproEZ is a Landscape Business Software system that uses Microsoft Sequel Server. If you to not run BizproEZ Landscape Business Software as a an administrator, you will not have the ability to update it’s database in SQL Server. There is an easy fix to this by following the simple instructions below:

1. Right click the Bizproez shortcut on your desktop. The image below shows 2 options. If you select ‘Run as administrator’, you will have to do this every time. Instead, select ‘Properties’:
Run-as-admin-1

2. Click the Advanced button:
Run-as-admin-2

3. Click the check box ‘Run as administrator’, then click OK.
Run-as-admin-3

*From now on, all you have to do is click the Bizproez shortcut on your desktop and Bizproez Landscape Business Software will update it’s database in SQL Server correctly.
